Info Call:
8393 State Highway 76, Reeds Spring, MO, United States
Map & Directions

Since 1970, this trail has been giving horseback rides to visitors and taking them on a little journey through the Ozark Hills. Everything about this site is very intriguing. Who exactly was Uncle Ike? Uncle Ike’s name was Levi Morrill and he was actually the only real life character in Harold Bell Wright’s famous novel that helped create Shepherd of the Hills. Uncle Ike was the postmaster in Notch near Branson and now right by where Silver Dollar City is located. He died in August of 1926 at the age of 89. Now on that same location where Uncle Ike was the postmaster is Uncle Ike’s Trail Ride. Many of the trails date back to the 1800s when Uncle Ike was delivering mail by horseback. The trails go through over 150 acres of the Ozarks and there are a variety of rides offered. Daily rides are scheduled at various times depending on the season and group or specialty rides must be booked in advance
