America’s romance with the vintage passenger train lives on through excursions on the Branson Scenic Railway. Aboard a collection of unique passenger cars you can travel through the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. This hour and 45 minute trip takes passengers through tunnels, over trestles, and through the southwest Missouri or northwest Arkansas wilderness that is still home to much wildlife and to the ruins of long-ago communities now named only on railroad maps.

My husband surprised me on my birthday with a lovely dinner and train ride through the beautiful Ozarks in the fall. It was about an hour long and the rail cars were authentic & made me think of what it must have been like in the past! Some even had windows on top so you could see the lovely view up there too! I loved the peaceful clack clack clack of the tracks. It was a wonderful, memorable experience. I would completely recommend it.
